We are pleased to announce that the Preview 1 of the RadioControl 1.2 Update
is available now. Among many other improvements and fixes, some of the
highlights of this new update are:
Full support of Windows Vista
Easier installation of RadioControl
Radio devices can be installed and changed much easier
Save and restore of the application workspace (i.e. open documents and Frontpanels)
when exiting and starting RadioControl
Support for the Icom IC-7000 transceiver
Preliminary support for the Icom IC-R9500 communications receiver
Many improvements and fixes in existing components
This preview version still does not contain the full set of features that are planned
for RadioControl 1.2. One such feature is the support of the new Icom IC-PCR1500 and IC-R1500.
Last but not least, we think it is worth mentioning that the preview as well as the
final update to RadioControl 1.2 will be available free of charge for all licensed
RadioControl users.
Obtaining the update: The update is a non-public download that is available for
RadioControl users only. Therefore, if you have a valid license for the RadioControl Lite,
Standard or Professional Edition, please
to get the download link and specify your RadioControl edition, serial number and,
in case of the Standard or Professional Edition, the type of your dongle.
The main features of this new device driver version are the memory upload and download
functionality, as well as support of the device-internal scanner for memory scanning
(M-SCAN) and frequency searching (F-SCAN).
Also, the driver fully supports the concurrent control feature of the EB200, which not
only allows an EB200 to be controlled at the same time by its own front panel and
RadioControl, but also by more than one application.
This update is free of charge for existing customers of the EB200 device
driver.
