Supported Icom CI-V Receivers and their Features

The following table lists all receiver drivers that are included in the CI-V device driver and their supported radio features. In most cases the name of the driver corresponds to the name of the respective radio. Therefore you can also check if a specialized driver is available for a radio.

________
1) The data fields specified in this column will be transferred from a RadioControl Memory File to the radio's memory when uploading channels and from radio's memory to the RadioControl Memory File when downloading channels. The device driver fills the data fields of a RadioControl Memory File, for which the radio does not provide a value, with default values when downloading memory channels from the radio.
2) The step will be used in RadioControl and only transferred to the radio if its value is supported by the radio.
3) when uploading memory channels to the radio only
4) The squelch status has to be fed from the "Recorder Remote" jack of the radio to the CTS, DSR, RING or CD (aka RLSD) pin of the serial port by additional hardware.
5) sets the (Scan-)Select-flag of the radio internal memory channel
6) The IC-R75 only supports the space character, numbers, as well as upper case letters (1st to 6th digit only). In addition the driver supports the following characters and converts them (as well as lower case letters) to the associated upper case ASCII-letter (e.g. a or à to A): ß, À, Á, Â, Ã, Ä, Å, à, á, â, ã, ä, å, Ç, ç, È, É, Ê, Ë, è, é, ê, ë', Ì, Í, Î, Ï, ì, í, î, ï, Ñ, ñ, Ò, Ó, Ô, Õ, Ö, ò, ó, ô, õ, ö, Š, š, Ù, Ú, Û, Ü, ù, ú, û, ü, Ý, ý, Ÿ, ÿ, Ž, ž
7) The radio supports the whole ASCII character set (and the characters ¥ and ¯ instead of the ASCII characters \ and ~). In addion the driver will convert the following characters to the associated ASCII character (e.g. á to a): ß, À, Á, Â, Ã, Ä, Å, à, á, â, ã, ä, å, Ç, ç, È, É, Ê, Ë, è, é, ê, ë', Ì, Í, Î, Ï, ì, í, î, ï, Ñ, ñ, Ò, Ó, Ô, Õ, Ö, ò, ó, ô, õ, ö, Š, š, Ù, Ú, Û, Ü, ù, ú, û, ü, Ý, ý, Ÿ, ÿ, Ž, ž
8) Due to some limitations of the Icom radios regarding resuming a scan operation, the device-internal scanner will only support the following scanner pause modes: "Wait until carrier disappears and resume" and "Stop scanner on first carrier". A timed pause or no pause at all is not supported.
However, as most users use the pause mode "Wait until carrier disappears and resume" for almost all scan and search operations anyway, this limitation is practically of no relevance.
